AN ARCHITECTURAL MARVEL COMING SOON TO KING WEST

BIG King St. W. Condos is a new condo development by Westbank Corp & Allied Properties REIT. This new development will be at 489 to 539 King St. West, Toronto.  This mixed-use development offers locals a public plaza that will create a new center for the community while connecting the various pedestrian pathways that crisscross the area a transit score.

The plaza is defined by two distinct atmospheres: a lushly landscaped forest paired next to an urban, hardscaped court. The balance of these perceived opposites is a reflection of Toronto’s current state of rapid redevelopment. Surrounding the plaza, King Street West provides residences, retail, boutique office spaces and restored heritage buildings.

The building is organized as a traditional perimeter block with a public plaza in the centre. The plan is for the inner courtyard to serve as an event space, with a park and mixed retail use along the base of the building.

LIVE OR INVEST IN

The globally renowned ‘starchitect’ Bjarke Ingels Group will design this development and the vision will feature what he calls “pixelated” patterns with “peaks”.
